TDD with Claude Code is a superpower

I describe the behavior I want, it writes failing tests, then implements the code to make them pass. It follows TDD more consistently than I do honestly. The best part is it runs the tests itself and iterates when they fail. I reviewed a PR yesterday where it fixed a failing edge case on its own that I would have missed.

Strong reasoning but token costs add up

The code reasoning quality is excellent — it catches subtle bugs and explains tradeoffs clearly. My concern is cost at scale. On a heavy coding day I can burn through $8-12 in tokens, which adds up fast for a team. Usage-based pricing makes it hard to predict monthly spend. Would love a team plan with a flat rate.
