Finally an AI tool that doesn't ignore Java
Most AI coding tools feel made by TypeScript devs for TypeScript devs. Copilot actually works great for Java and Spring Boot — it understands our patterns and suggests idiomatic code.

Enterprise rollout was smooth
We onboarded 200 engineers to Copilot Business last year. Usage is at 85% after six months. The admin dashboard for usage analytics is genuinely useful for our productivity reporting.

Great for learning, great for shipping
I use Copilot to learn patterns I'd normally google and to ship faster on personal projects. At $10/month it's by far the highest ROI subscription I have. Chat mode explains the suggestions which helps me learn.

Indispensable for infrastructure as code
Copilot shines for Terraform, Helm charts, and GitHub Actions YAML. It's like having someone who's memorized every cloud provider's docs sitting next to you. Cut our IaC review cycles in half.

Works everywhere, which matters
I work across Xcode, VS Code and JetBrains depending on the project. Copilot is the only AI assistant that follows me everywhere without compromise. Docking a star because Workspace can be slow on large tasks.

Best autocomplete in the industry
The completions are genuinely impressive. It predicts not just the next line but entire function bodies correctly on the first suggestion. The GitHub integration means it understands issues, PRs, and docs — context no other tool has.

Got me up to speed so much faster
As a junior dev joining a new codebase, Copilot chat has been invaluable. I can ask "what does this function do" or "how do I add a new API endpoint in this style" and get an answer grounded in the actual repo. It's like having a senior engineer available 24/7 without being annoying about it.

Chat feature has gotten much better
A year ago the chat was underwhelming. Recent updates have made it much more useful for explaining code, generating tests, and suggesting refactors. Still not quite at the level of Cursor for large codebase tasks, but for the average ticket-level work it's fast and accurate. The JetBrains integration is solid too.

The best autocomplete, period
I've tried Codeium, TabNine, and a few others. Nothing matches Copilot's inline completion quality for everyday coding. It finishes my function signatures, generates boilerplate, and handles repetitive patterns without getting in the way. The PR description generation in the GitHub UI is a sleeper feature I use constantly.

Enterprise rollout was seamless
We deployed Copilot Business to 200 engineers with zero drama. SSO, audit logs, content exclusions for sensitive repos — everything worked first try. Our developer satisfaction scores went up 22% in the next quarterly survey. The ROI case for AI coding tools is now easy to make to leadership because of how smooth this went.
